First impression of the site. Castle marina. [visit on 30/09/2014]
I walked along Nottingham canals area from the train station point, to look at surrounding areas. The site starts from HM Revenue and customs building. all the way to the marina. about 0.7 miles and takes about 15 minutes to walk from end to end. the canals was quite empty with a few bikers and runners about and very few canals going up and down, the environment was very peaceful.
as i walked along the start of the site i slowly see what was left of canals and pieces of its history such as the locks on the canals and one of the building along the canals has a small door which would have been used to transport goods from the canal boats in to the building, although there are not many buildings left as most of the buildings i saw were new developments and housing. I could still see sections of the canals that was kept to its original state.
i didn't think much about the site when i first saw the place but as i walked though till the end, i though the place was beautiful and it was sad that not many people uses the space.
Atmosphere and Keywords;
- calm, peaceful and quiet.

Second site visit - 06/10/2014
different texture of the site. i took some more photographs of the site. this time the weather had a different feeling to the site. it was very damp and the colours of everything looked so cold and emtpty.
Third site visit - 16/10/2014
i visited the site for the third time to take a look at some more of the site. and took photographs for a page of the a2 book and pointed the most important things that i saw on the site. i also explored the site a little more to the places that i haven't been to such a the bridge. this gave me the opportunity to look at the site more closely and get a different perspective on what the site is like from this angle, i also looked at the wild life more this time with the nature
Fourth site visit - night time 28/10/2014
on the fourth site visit i looked at the lighting of the area and found out that the path from the canal area is very dark.
